PHP GEN reads the list of tables in a database, lets you select one, then reads the structure of it, suggests a basic (modifiable) configuration, and generates good-style and easily maintainable PHP code capable of listing, searching, adding, editing, detailing, and deleting records. Both the generated code and the engine itself use Pear::DB for the database-abstraction layer and Smarty for the presentation/interface layer. Master/detail (foreign keys) are supported.   [edit]
