BlockHosts is a script to record how many times "sshd" or "proftpd" is attacked. When a particular IP address exceeds a configured number of failed login attempts, that IP address is added to /etc/hosts.allow, with the deny option. A check is also made for stale entries in hosts.allow, and these will then be deleted.   [edit]
