How can I search for live internet feeds and get them on to my website ?

Are there any open source tools or plug-ins and Api calls, that help me to get the live internet feeds i.e streaming audios and videos and integrate them into my website? Do we have any search engines or tools that will fetch only the online broadcasts matching the criteria i give ? For example, i would like to know whether any one is broadcasting my favorite programme "I dream of Jeannie" at the point of my free time.

    This may not be exactly what you want, but Joost, which is in Beta, has a thick-client app htat you can download, and that has several channels. Being p2p, they are currently relying on a client-side download. Since Skype (the founder's of Joost's previous hit!) still hasn't come out w/ a web-only product, I'm not sure when Joost will deliver a web-only download. Several of the channels have also started putting up their shows for general viewing, but these are typically not live. Not sure if any of these give you a YouTube style widget to embed in your page...
