Does this mean that we can now access zimbra online via yahoo mail? Is this a play to move Yahoo mail into the enterprise, similar to google apps? How many users will they hope to snag as a consequence?

Add AnswerYahoo clearly will add a ton of value to its paid users. Unlike Google, Yahoo lacked a serious 'apps' offering, like the one Google has. While there were probably several people choosing Yahoo's premium service over hotmail, there was clearly a lot of collaboration features and 'small-company' features that were missing. Yahoo doesn't have any slick collaboration apps for the enterprise like Google Apps. They may look to beef up that side with another acquisition. OpenOffice, anyone?
I think Yahoo is better of merging with New Corp rather than getting (pardon my French) bitch-slapped by Microsoft.
As for the Zimbra acquisition, its good as a standalone business unit focused on delivering enterprise solutions which will be able to leverage some of Yahoo's other technologies and, to jmkent's point, by rounding out their offering with a couple of other acquisitions around other office productivity tools.
