Just found this project but it doesn't seem like there's a lot going on here (checked the sourceforge forums, etc.)
Looking to add SMS alerts to my site - allow users to get SMS based alerts. Am looking for something simple that will let me send out an SMS to users who specify their mobile number (US Carriers).
Any ideas??

Add AnswerI haven't used php2sms but I've added a bunch of alternatives to the php2sms page - so you can check those out and see if any of those are what you're looking for.
You can also checkout paid apps like strikeiron (www.strikeiron.com) but those tend to get pretty expensive as your volume increases unless ofcourse you're able to monetize the SMSs through an admob-like service.

Also look at clickatell - we used them briefly but ended up going with regional players in countries that we were targeting (mainly India)
