GNUCash is used by many small businesses as a Quickbooks alternative from the open soure world. Look down the page for instructions on using it with platforms other than Windows:
If I remember correctly, then you actually could install quickbook _server_ on Linux. Please dig into the software manufacturer for more correct details. I am pretty sure that quickbook server has become available to install on Linux since probably third quarter of 07.
