I tried opening it in Microsoft Word (2007) and it wont work. Tried it in OOO and that doesn't work either. Any ideas on how I could go about doing this? Any plug-ins that would help??

Add AnswerYou can install writer perfect installer from http://libwpd.sourceforge.net/download.html and then open the wpd file directly from OOo. Detailed instructions here - http://user-faq.openoffice.org/new-faq/faqcompatibility/faqgeneralcompat...
I just did this and it didn't work - it just opens the file with garbled data. I don't know what version of Word Perfect this was created in either - can't believe people are still using Wordperfect!!
Any other suggestions??
That's too bad. Here's something else you can do. Download Abiword (http://www.abisource.com/) - it's free and it supports .wpd files
