oDesk have maximum number of developers.

What do you think about the oDesk popularity ? Is it good or bad ? 67k providers +counting DO you think its getting hard for you guys to get serious jobs ?

    I think there is a great opportunity. This isn't a new concept. Companies like elance, guru.com, rentacoder.com, etc. have been working (very successfully) on a similar model for almost a decade. oDesk has just introduced a better mechanism/interface to monetize the same market. Also, if you look at the geographic spread of the oDesk developers/service providers - the majority of them are outside the US. So, the economics work out for the buyers. I think the biggest advantage is that developers can moonlight while still keeping their "Day jobs" and make some money in their spare time while improving their skills and it seems like oDesk's rating system and tools are a lot better than what I've seen on the other marketplaces I mentioned earlier.

    I would recommend checking out www.elance.com. They are bigger and have been around a lot longer and have a larger network and more job listings
