We have been using this for the last 6 years and this is just one of those apps that make, an otherwise complex process, a breeze.
The great thing about SVN is that it is a great file sharing and version tracking mechanism for your everyday office productivity apps - we use this extensively to share and update microsoft office and project files and it has been working well for small teams of upto 10 people.
Have to be good about updating and syncing regularly though - otherwise its the proverbial "garbage in-garbage out"
This was great but not good enough to keep me from getting a mac :) Really simple setup and usage - makes this a very useful app for anyone sharing small/large amounts of data/files and you'll never lose it. The local copy makes it a breeze to search through the content using google desktop as well. Now, please help me find a similar app for the Mac! :)
I was using TortoiseSVN for the last two years at a previous contract. The tool is relatively stable - I saw no issues with performing checkins. There were a few times that I had to remove the old repository and re-check out a current repository to get sync to work, however.
Works well, was happy with it's performance.
I found it the best free SVN client.
if you are using SVN server and not using any plugin then I think itis the best one to use externally
