Mantis Bug Tracker is a free web-based bugtracking system. It is written in the PHP scripting language and works with MySQL, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL databases and a webserver. Mantis Bug Tracker claims support for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, OS/2, and a variety of Unix operating systems.       Mantis is great, and much easier to set up and enhance
      fpeter

      Setting up and working with Mantis is very straightforward. UI is a bit clunky, but completely configurable. PHP makes integration easy, but haven't really needed to change the flow dramatically.

      Mantis is awesome! Especially if you have some "non-technical" folks using the system. Very intuitive interface and great filtering to allow for very targeted searches.
