PlexMailer is anti-spam software that comes with an email client but also works with other email clients. It comes with hundreds of predefined filters to detect spam and viruses and supports dozens of blackhole lists such as ORBS, MAPS, SBL, DUL, Vipul's Razor/SpamNet, etc. In addition, users can define rules to detect spam email based on various header fields and contents of the email message. It also comes with an analytical engine that gathers information about source of the spam message and respective email addresses of the administrators. Users can then report senders to their ISP, send fake "unknown user" replies, store email in a different folder, or forward email to another user. It supports POP3, IMAP, SMTP, LDAP, and NNTP protocols as well as mbox mail folders. It also supports SSL versions of the above protocols and the S/MIME protocol for secured email.
