Anne Nicolas Retains Mageia Board Chairmanship

Anne Nicolas has been chairman of the Mageia.Org Board of Directors since its first election a year ago. From the outside looking in, it appears she has performed professionally and skillfully. Apparent the board agrees, because she was again elected by secret ballot to its highest position.

The Mageia.Org Board of Directors consists of 6 to 12 members chosen from active members. Per the Mageia.Org statutes, one-third of the board must be re-elected each year. Wolfgang Bornath and Michael Scherer resigned, so Nicolas Vigier and Oliver Burger were elected to take their places. After that election, the new board held their executive committee elections.

Anne Nicolas retains her chairmanship, Romain d'Alverny replaces Damien Lallement as Treasurer, and Oliver Burger now holds Michael Scherer's former position of Secretary. Besides the upcoming Mageia 2 release and development of Mageia 3, the board says it will be concentrating on promoting Mageia in the coming year.
