The eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull has disrupted the travel plans of people all over the world who were planning to attend the DrupalCon conference in San Francisco this week. If you're interested, though, the folks at Brightcove have informed us that you can catch free live video streams of all of the keynote sessions at the conference online. Here are the details.

The live feed for this week's keynote sessions will be broadcast via Brightcove’s blog post, the DrupalVolCon site, the Drupal UK site, the official Drupalcon San Francisco site, and any other site that uses the embed code available through the player.

Drupal is one of the premiere open source content management system (CMS) products available, as we've discussed before.OStatic itself runs on Drupal.

Hmm. Why is an open source conference using Flash instead of Vorbis? If your going to go closed, please use MPEG or QuickTIme so that we all can watch.

If open formats are not enough of a reason, then consider that Flash is tied to specific architectures. So unlike the above formats, which reach 100% of the population, Flash *will* lock some people out.

If open formats and system architecture are not enough of a reason than consider that Flash is so full of security holes and exploits that it is on par with Microsoft products as far as safety is concerned.

Please stream in an open format, not Flash.

(FWIW, the linked sites have broken captchas.

Please kill flash.

I run a PPC machine, it does not work here.

That's cool, I didn't know they streamed the event live.

Speaking of video, if you'd like a Custom Video to Promote Your Website- For Free- check out my site http://www.SeoPayout.com/Video

Video is taking over the internet for obvious reasons. If you have a website, you really need to be using video.

Just look at what DrupalCon did- they provided interactivity and further built their authority by streaming the event live on video.
