Dice.com Community Site Includes Much Open Cloud Coverage

by Ostatic Staff - Oct. 09, 2013

OpenStack, the much discussed open source cloud platform, is very rapidly gaining buzz on the employment scene.  There are more and more training and certification programs dedicated to it, but it's hardly the only hot cloud computing platform out there. CloudStack is also being implemented at many organizations, and workers with skills at platforms ranging from Eucalyptus to Amazon Web Services are in demand, too.

If you're adding to your cloud skills and evaluating jobs focused on the cloud, one great resource to pay attention to is Dice.com's curated cloud computing community.  It includes news, blog posts, discussions and more, some focused on jobs in the cloud, and some focused on technical issues related to coud computing.

On Dice's cloud community page, you can find posts like "Addressing the Risks of Cloud Migration,"  as well as cloud computing jobs found all around the world. Discussions take place regularly on targeted parts of the cloud computing job market.

Tech Target recently noted the following about the overall job market for people with cloud skills:

"The OpenStack Foundation issued a report last month suggesting OpenStack skills provided richer returns for software engineers than other clouds...More generally, recruiters said, IT pros who can marry business strategy with cloud-based service delivery models are in high demand."

In addition to its rich community site on cloud topics, Dice.com does regular analyses of how the employment scene looks for people with cloud computing and Linux skills. At the top of this page, you can add the site's coverage of and discussions on cloud computing to a regular feed that you can receive.
