Presenters and Topic Ideas Needed for Ubuntu Developer Week

Plans are in the works for next month's Ubuntu Developer Week, and organizers are looking for presenters and topic ideas. Specifically, they're looking for people to oversee "Masters of the Universe" (MOTU) School sessions, so get in touch if you think you can help. Although the organizers are open to a range of session ideas, there are a couple of topics they're definitely hoping people will want to tackle.

In a post on Ubuntu Planet, organizer James Westby says he's "particularly keen" on seeing sessions on Java this time around. Any topic can be requested, however, or you can simply vote up ones that have already been suggested.

There are already several topics the community has requested, including how to package Python and php apps, how to maintain a package, and integrating packages with GNOME. My favorite is the requested session on "beating ***really badly packaged sources into a deb."

Accepted session topics will be listed on the wiki and once a presenter is located, the presentation will be scheduled in the #ubuntu-classroom. To make it easier for people to offer fresh ideas, there's also a list of sessions that have already been presented at past Developer Week events.
