It's a great app for culling and organizing large batches of tweets from several people, but what if you want to only archive your own pearls of wisdom for future reference? There's an app for that.

Tweet Nest is a free, open source app that stores all your tweets on your server for easy storage and backup. This is particularly handy for people who tweet frequently, since Twitter archives tweets on its own servers for about two weeks.

In addition to your written content, Tweet Nest also archives the media you post so you'll always be able to go back and find that awesome image or cool video you mentioned months ago. If statistics are your thing, you'll love the way the app generates monthly reports of all your tweets, retweets, and replies. Since Tweet Nest is open source, you're free to customize it any way you wish, from changing the color scheme to completely overhauling the stylesheet until it looks just the way you want.
