User Perceptions of systemd Better Than Anticipated

In some circles systemd took a real beating, while others like it. Just about anytime the subject of systemd arises, a bit of shouting match develops. But as developers defend the shift to systemd, I wondered what regular users thought. So, of course, I ran a poll.

In an attempt to get a general idea of how users felt, I simply asked "systemd" with the following answer choices:

Works good
Has Issues
S*cks!
I don't know
I don't care
Huh?

Given the negative press recently and the issues experienced by some, developers will be glad to know that 54% of respondents think systemd works good. 11% feel it has issues while 8% say it s*cks outright. 9% don't know and 7% don't care. 12% didn't know what systemd was.

So, there it is. No matter where you fall in the spectrum, a majority of users think systemd is just fine.
