Why Does Everyone Love Boxee?

"The buzz has been building for Boxee lately," writes Chris Albrecht at GigaOm. "Mainstream news outlets like The New York Times, BusinessWeek and NPR are getting hip to the little open source media center that could quite possibly change the way you experience TV." When they get a windows version I may even try them out. My lynx is only on a small laptop that is not good for watching stuff on.

They do have a windows version of boxee, but is currently in alpha and invite only. I have it on my windows laptop and its something which I have started finding indispensable :)
