Good business intelligence (BI) apps for SMBs (small medium businesses)?

I am looking for a BI application that will allow us to upload spreadsheets, quickbooks (QBW) files and other data files (csv) and collate the information and provide analytics around that.
Cognos, Business Objects, etc. are too heavy weight and expensive for our needs. We're looking for something simple & ideally open source
