The Iliad, an extensive yet mystifying poem that honors the actions of heroes, unfortunately, is debatably unclear as to what the settings Homer sang these songs as the elegies and poems still with us are the consequence of synthetic conditions imitated by the writing down of poems as these songs were never presented in the form in which we know them
