Commencement Speech
Good evening fellow classmates, I would first off like to say thank you to my teachers and my wonderful family for all the support and helping me achieve my accolades, thank you once again. Senior year was a blast just like it was the other three years. We have done some impeccable things throughout high school including our biggest accomplishments when we sold out in prom tickets which lead to the most prom attendance in school history. I remember freshman year when we were on a new hall with brand new teachers who were recently in the same spot as us. It was funny because some were just a few years older than us. Others were new to classrooms. And only one had been there for a while. Our attitude has changed a lot since we were freshman and even our mental toughness. Bradley Whitford once said, “Take action. Every story you have ever connected with, every leader you have ever admired, every puny little thing that you have ever accomplished is the result of taking action. You have a choice. You can either be a passive victim of circumstance or you can be the active hero of your own life.”
Who would have ever thought of us getting ready to graduate high school after how we acted our freshman year. Coming into high school I didn’t think I would be ready because I was never on task and I used to always want to play around and be with my friends, and I know I was not the only one.
