Explain how the place is used in the story
The scene is one of the substantial elements of the movie, and it represents the characteristics and atmospheres of the place. For example, Milan, a metropolis in Italy’s northern Lombardy region, is known for the city in which has the most fashion costumes and accessories; Paris, France’s capital, is known for its romantic ambiance, and many couples usually like to have a date there. Also, some places are famous for its historical events, such as “The September 11 attack” which were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda in the United States. These places can be the backgrounds or storylines of the movie. “Aftershock” is a typical example that the place is significant to the movie. It took place in Tangshan in 1976, which is an indelible natural calamity of the Chinese history, and this place symbolizes the heartbreaking history of family and loss.
The story of the movie happened in the place, Tangshan, and it had known for the 1976 earthquake which would be an example of how the earthquake caused such a horrible life. It measured 7.8 on the Richter scale, flattening much of the city and killing at least 255,000 people. In the movie, the primary roles were about the family of 4 members: parents, daughter, and son.
