Initial Assessment
College is where one is supposed to grow and blossom into who they really are. With the inspirational stories and questioning one’s theories in English classes, exploring one’s creativity in art classes, learning more how a mind works in psychology, and to learning what happened in the past in history and government classes, which are just basics that a student has to take in a wide variety of classes. In college, students are focused on making careers for themselves, working part time to pay for school, and pulling all-nighters to worry about what another test they aren’t ready for, College students are growing up and realizing that everyone is different and exploring themselves, opening up one’s mind to endless possibilities, new opinions, while trying to get along with everyone, I have learned quite a bit as I get further into college, but the most important thing for this essay is learning to write better than I did in high school.
My weakness before attending college was simply I did not know how to write. Growing up bilingual, I lacked the essentials to proper English, Back in high school, I made D’s and F’s on papers. The reason why is I did not know how to comprehend or interpret what I read then trying to writing about it, so I always wrote off-topic papers, wrote about the same points over and over, never explained my points, I am still learning how to fix the issues, but the worst one, I know you are going to cringe, but I was that student that wrote my introduction and then for my conclusion...
