Personal Traits and Self Analysis Paper
The first trait that I chose is passionate. Passion can be both a good thing and a bad thing when it comes to communication. My passion allows me to be a good problem solver; it gives me the drive to fix what is broken and to resolve whatever issues may be at hand. These are the good ways it effects my communication. One of the bad ways it effects my communication is, when I am having a discussion on a topic that I am passionate about, I tend to interrupt others when they are speaking. I realize this, and I try to work on it when I catch myself doing it so I can improve my interactions with other people.

I don’t mean to be rude when I become impatient, and I may not even realize right off that I am, but once I realize what I am doing my impatience usually fades away and I try to make amends with whoever I was being rude to.

These traits go hand in hand and they have a huge impact on how I communicate. I feel like being sensitive and emotional is a curse because I have a tendency to take things people say the wrong way, or take things personal that weren’t meant to be that way. When this happens, my walls go up and I immediately go on the defensive and...
