I feel that over the years, life itself teaches you to be more appreciative of things. With that being said, I try to be optimistic about situations. I still get goosebumps to this day when I think about it. I looked down and couldn't believe what I was looking at. I thought my adrenaline was pumping before, but it went into overdrive and just started rushing through my body. I had an open radial and ulna fracture. That means that my bones went right through my skin. Immediately, an ambulance was called.I was rushed to the hospital where Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Quek, consulted me. He informed me that I needed surgery. He explained what the procedure was going to consist of. I needed bone grafting and metal rods put in. He also informed me that I would be healed in six months.The doctor left the room and I sat in the hospital bed surrounded by my family. I had so many emotions running through my head I couldn't hold it in. I started crying my eyes out. How could this have happened to me? I never broke a bone in my life prior to this. This game was supposed to get me recognized. I was ready to play my heart out, and it all went down the hatch over a pothole!Surgery went well and before I knew it I was in the recovery room.
