Boston Pizza
Boston Pizza is a Canadian fast food restaurant, which began in Edmonton, Alberta, on August 12, 1964. The restaurant had begun operations on 17 different locations in western Canada by 1970. In 1968 a royal Canadian mounted police officer Jim treliving noticed the growing popularity of Boston pizza and he bought the rights to start a restaurant in British Colombia. He was the first franchisees of Boston pizza.
At present, Boston Pizza operates over 380 locations in Canada. The company’s business extends to the United States and Mexico.in 1984 Boston Pizza makes a big appearance on the world stage as the official pizza provider for Expo '86 in Vancouver, B.C. this expo helps the company to get a world exposure and set the phase for develop into the U.S. In 1998 they built US headquarters in Dallas, Texas and they changed the name from Boston Pizza to Boston's The Gourmet Pizza
They also boast a 50-year steady growth in sales and overall functioning. Another fact in favor of this brand is their platinum membership in Canada’s top 50 managed companies for the last 20 years. Boston pizza serves over 40 million guests annually as well as it has achieved more than $1 billion system-wide sales in 2014 (bostonpizza.com, 2018).
