Implementation Consultant. I am a passionate advocate of collaboration and tracking solutions to drive quicker and more sane momentum in both development organizations and SMBs as a whole. On premise, any WIKI or issue tracking solution in theory can do this, but Atlassian tools are quickly moving away from the pack given not only clean interfaces, reliability, and strong integrated platforms, but also an ever-building strong feature set provided via the open source way - many free, through third-party developer plugins (like Mozilla). Further, with a "continuous improvement" modus operandi of what their products provide, their solo or integrated product set continues to give back in efficiencies and effectiveness for your organization. Obviously, I'm biased, but with experiences as a power user and implementer over past 2+ years in 3 companies (and counting) - I have not seen such great advantages like this in over 15 years of consulting in over 30+ Silicon Valley corporations (and as many products). They are unstoppable, and it is a good thing; the time is right for collaboration, transparency, and accountability - and corporations benefit. Cheers, ellen@clifftop.us
