Panda Antivirus is a product offered by Panda Security. The latest version is Panda Antivirus 2008. Panda Antivirus updates its virus definitions at least once per day, and claims that there are over 2,000 new threats every day, hence warranting daily updates. Panda Antivirus protects users from viruses, worms and trojans. It also removes detects and removes spyware, and protects users from phishing attacks. In addition, Panda Antivirus detects Rootkits and protects surfers from dangerous websites, though details on which websites are protected and how the protection occurs is not available on the site. Panda Antivirus is available as a free trial. Panda Security has been under heat recently because of the ties the founder has ties with Scientology.
