    SCALE 8X Announces Call for Papers

    The organizers behind the 8th annual (SCALE) announced a call for papers this week. There are a total of five speaker tracks this year including tracks for beginners and developers, and the selection committee is looking for presenters to speak on a wide variety of topics of interest to the FOSS community. Organizers are also willing to help set up tutorials and labs for speakers who want to take a hands-on approach.



    SCALE Organizers Call For Women in Open Source Presentations

    The Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE) is one of the most heavily attended open source events held each year. Slated to begin February 20, 2009, SCALE will once again host the annual Women in Open Source Conference (WIOS), a one-day event where women in the open source industry have the chance to showcase their work, share accomplishments, and brainstorm ideas.
