Apple Screen Saver command line access

By Jimmy Hopkin - Jul. 03, 2009

I am an avid Hulu watcher. I also have my screensaver set up to start every 15 minutes. Sometimes I will remember to disable it, but at other times I have to get up and disable it, often times having to re-log in because I have a password prompt.

My question:
Is there a way I can issue a command line command that will allow me to change the delay on my screen saver quickly, without having to navigate to the preferences dialog? I would ideally like to set it and then change it.

Thanks!!

Have you tried putting an automator script in place? You can record a 'Macro' via the "Watch Me Do" action.

To fire the script, you will still need to double-click on it, I guess. You could also put it in your path and invoke it from Terminal or QuickSilver.
