By Dawn Giorgio - Apr. 15, 2008

Any apps out there that allow you to do this for the MAC? Preferably, free/os apps...

We use deskUNPDF (http://www.docudesk.com/deskUNPDF-PDF-Converter-for-Mac.shtml) and its great. unfortunately, you will have to shell out $70 for this "utility", but I can think of some open source apps that can help you circumvent that problem ;)

You should be able to find ALL pdf apps here - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PDF_software

I am not sure but check out osalt.com simply put it lists open source alternative software and compares them with their proprietary counter parts.

So if you know an app which can do that you can look for OS alternatives there. It has a good list but as we all know it is not even near 50% complete.

Try and check if this helps you. Might have to do it on a Windows PC before transferring the file to a Mac.
