Thanks - I saw this but this doesn't help me because I have to manually delete over 2,000 songs 1 at a time. Any automated way to do this...

Make a new smart playlist based on the date you duplicated tracks eg songs added before(add date) and songs added after( add date). Change genre of all songs in new smart playlist to something you'll not use elsewhere eg dupes. Do search in iTunes browser for songs with 'dupes' genre then highlight and delete all songs. Simple.

I use duplicate finder to remove duplicate songs from my itunes library, it says that it can easy move or Delete duplicate files and folder.

I find that Itunes as a media player is extremely poor...I often find that it duplicates track or leaves them out if i dont transfer a track at a time..I know this doesn help you but just felt i had to say it...
