Hi,
Can anyone point me to any comparison study done on different Open Source DMS available in the market?
Thanks, Rohan

Most DMS under active development are based on Java (no good if you are running a standard LAMP server without Java).
OWL is an intranet and is not a web publishing DMS. It is similar in functionality to MyDMS and requires login before any files can be viewed.
KnowledgeTree looks very good, but does not run on most standard shared-hosting setups. It would be worth looking at if you run your own server.
Jake appears to be abandonware and has not had a new release since 2000.
MyDMS seems to be, at first look, a fairly solid DMS to use on an intranet. It requires that guests log in before they can view the documents. Admins must also set up user groups with group permissions. Getting to a download is a two-step process after logging in. As a repository for documents that will be made available to the public online, it just doesn't do the job.

Knowledge Tree seems to be the most comprehensive FOSS DMS out there. Here is a good matrix of its capabilities - http://www.knowledgetree.com/products/checklist
And be sure to check out Alfresco. They seem to have made a lot of inroads in the DMS space...
