Security of phpBB

What are the thoughts around security of the current version of phpBB? I want to setup a forum and was considering using phpBB. I think the current version out is 2.0.22.

    Yes, phpBB is very secure and its being constantly updated. Many of the best coders are behind the phpBB team...

    Go with jforum (www.jforum.net) as a securer alternative to phpbb. Only problem is that you'll have to host a Java solution! :)
