USER FRIENDLY

By Froggy Amphibian - Jul. 15, 2008

Could it be more user friendly if jargon were not used so frequently? If there is a glossary of terms somewhere on the each page or a drop down menu, the lingo or jargon could be better understood in my opinion. Thus making it easier to use.

BTW I know nothing about computers. Absolutely Zero, Zilch, Nada, Nothing as a novice cretin. How could I best take advantage of this system?

Could you teach me from step one for instance what a cursor is and then move it up a notch to page up, save, print etc.?

Lots of questions I know. So please don't feel compelled to answer. Just highlighting a glitch prehaps in its lingo aspect. PHP. whatever.

Thank you for your time and interest in reading my drivel.

Yours,

Froggy

BTW what is a tag?

Hi Froggy. This site does require a basic understanding of computers and software in general. There are several resources on the web that can help you get familiar with some of the lingo of the Open Source community. I encourage you to peruse Wikipedia (http://wikipedia.org) to learn about some of the things being talked about.

Here's a link to the article on cursors:

You do raise an interesting point, though - we ought to put up a 'Frequently Asked Questions' section to explain some of the aspects of the site.

Thanks, and please keep your feedback coming!
