I am split between Outlook and Thunderbird. Both are really nice. Be sure to not us IMAP if you have a lot of mail, or if you do large attachments. POP3 is a better way to configure them. I liked Outlook Express also, because it was simple. .... and now I am back using Thunderbird.... It is safe, simple, free, and you can do add-ons for Calender, Adblocking, and Themes, and other neat stuff. Powerful and productive.
