Is there any free xml editor such as xml spy? XML SPY is no longer provides free version.

    Try XML Cooktop - I've not used it but have read good things about it.

    Try Peter's XML Editor.

    Again as above its been a very long time since I have used it but it worked well for me.

    You could also try the open source Treebeard XML/XSLT transform editor, I never had to look for another.

    If all you want is editing XML, why not use the good old trusted Vim with syntax highlighting?

    You can use latest netbeans editor to design XSD and generate XML files
