Mozilla Weave Out In Version 1.0, Cozies Up to Firefox Users

After spending years in beta, Mozilla?s Weave synchronization tool is finally out in a new version 1.0. Firefox users who tote multiple devices will especially take to the extension, which is slated to eventually track and sync all your Firefox preferences. For now, Weave synchronizes your bookmarks, saved passwords, browsing history and open browser tabs?keeping all your personal data encrypted, and stored in the cloud (there is an option for storage on your own local server). What's Coming for Open Source in 2010

With the end of the year quickly approaching, it's time for a few 2010 predictions. This past year was a big one for open source. Just think, back in March, it wasn't clear whether Google's open source Android platform had any future at all, but now it's absolutely flourishing.
