Remember the Milk is beloved by many people as an application for tracking to-do items and setting reminders. It's been available for use on Android mobile phones for some time, but as JKOnTheRun notes, the application has just had a significant upgrade and supports the new Droid phone. You can run Remember the Milk as a widget on your mobile phone screen, and it works well the high-res screen on the Droid. Check out more here.
If you have an Android-based phone and you want to instantly get more organized, check out the new client app for Android of Remember The Milk. Remember The Milk is a long-standing to-do list manager that many people on Windows and Mac systems absolutely swear by. It's not a calendar, but a task manager that makes it very easy to enter tasks, set deadlines and reminders for them, and see overviews of things you need to get done soon. As JKOnTheRun notes, there is an iPhone version of it, but the Android version can synchronize tasks in the background rather than requiring you to open the application every time you want to synchronize. The app is free for Android users, but does require a $25 yearly Pro account.
The story of the open source notebook and to-do manager application Chandler is a long and complicated one, as we covered here when it arrived in version 1.0. It was originally started as one of Mitch Kapor's projects, but Kapor (the founder of Lotus) left it, and it took on new life as a community-driven project for Windows, the Mac and Linux. Now available in version 1.0.2, it's a powerful mashup of to-do list tracking, tickler alarms, note tracking, calendaring and more. Collaborative workers can also use it together to brainstorm, share project, event and calendar items, and track milestones. Here's a look at how it works.
