Latest Stable LibreOffice 4.1.4 Released

The Document Foundation today announced the release of LibreOffice 4.1.4, the latest in the stable family of the popular office suite. This update is recommended for anyone using the 4.1 branch, especially those receiving professional support from certified developers. The announcement quotes Thorsten Behrens saying, "When we launched the project, the growth of the ecosystem was a top priority. Today, the large number of migrations to LibreOffice – backed by professional support – show that we were right. There is a bright future in front of us."

Some of the more interesting of the over 100 fixes include:

  • * Base is crashing frequently when EDITING data
  • * Function wizard delete the outer functions in a formula while editing an inner one
  • * Writer 4.1.3 not able to read certain documents
  • * Wizard use in Calc changes format
  • * Table in Title, Content layout causing crash
  • * Keyboard shortcuts doesn't work in Gnome if a non-US keyboard layout
  • * Freezes when generating a table of contents
  • * Customized slideshow broken; shows all slides
  • * Crash when deleting tables
  • * "yikes, sizeof(char[]) includes 0, so 4 not 3"
  • * Hotkeys don't work in non-Latin keyboard layout
  • * Using LibreOffice dialogs option for print dialog is ignored
  • * Copying of diagram: categories and y axis interchanged in Calc
  • * CRASH when deleting applied bulleted paragraph style
