by Ostatic Staff - Aug. 11, 2014

One of the biggest OpenStack conferences of the year is coming up on September 16 in Silicon Valley. The OpenStack Silicon Valley 2014 confab is a community event to be held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA.

Registration is open now and the  speaker lineup looks very good, with strong participation from Mirantis, Rackspace and many other Silicon Valley companies focused on OpenStack.

The speaker line for the conference also includes top cloud executives from Cisco, Citrix, Dell, eBay, Ericsson, Eucalyptus, HP, Intel, Red Hat, VMware and more. OpenStack customers will share practical tips on deploying private and hybrid cloud solutions and an advisory notes that "experts will debate controversial topics that range from whether OpenStack needs a benevolent dictator to a call to sign an industry peace treaty in the cloud platform wars."

In addition to workshops, panels, and keynotes, OpenStack Silicon Valley 2014 will offer a social event in the evening in order to give attendees a chance get to know each other and network. The full agenda is available here, and Early Bird general admission is $300.
