Preface
Have you ever wondered how the world would be without art, without paintings, without emotions being shared through art?
There are many people in this world who share their emotions and feelings through art; painting how they feel or what they’ve gone through and adding more flavors to their work by choosing the colours that express their emotions.
Many others use art as the “escape from reality” solution.
Pushing them-selves away from drama (reality), which at the end of the day is quite helpful, it’s like having a break to revive. My goal for this research project is to prove my point that, expressive portraiture can help people revive, express their emotions and make it through their problems. To prove that statement I dug deeper and chose an artist, a true inspiration and an artist who uses art as a tool to escape from reality. He locks himself away and paints all his emotions and incidents on a canvas, he might paint other people and not himself but he still tells his story.

An abstract portrait can be a drawing or painting or there can also be abstract photography, abstract portrait sculpture, abstract portrait illustration and much more. Any beautiful abstract phenomenon that incorporates the figure of any being, real, imaginary or any combination thereof can be considered at abstract Portraiture.
Expressive portraiture involves photographs and paintings that express a feeling or a mood, expresses ...
