My experience during my clinical immersion at RWJ Rahway 3E Orthopedics I had an amazing experience overall. At first, I found it a little difficult adjusting to the routine of the unit as well as the hospital. Coming from prior work experiences at another hospital and being familiar with the way things are run there, getting used to Rahway was definitely challenging. Looking back on my experience of those 13 weeks, I realized I accomplished and learned so many new things. I was able to build my confidence even further and able to handle daily tasks alongside my preceptor. I was actively participating in the care of patients which was challenging yet rewarding. Towards the beginning I found it somewhat difficult to talk to other co-workers and nurses. However, as the weeks went by It got a lot easier. Now nearing the end, I feel that I have managed to overcome this problem and find it much easier to communicate with nurses and consequently with the multidisciplinary team. With t...
