In groups of two or three, you will research the position of minorities in Canada from 1945-1982. You will choose one minority group to focus on:

You will come up with a creative and informative presentation (less than 15 minutes) that outlines and explains:
1. The position of the minority group within larger Canadian society (how were they viewed/treated by Canadian society) at the beginning of the time period;
2. Legislation, policies and events that impacted the minority group within the time period discussed and a discussion of the political, economic or cultural perspectives represented by the law, policy or event.
3. Contributions or changes that the members of the group have made to Canadian identity;
4. Their position in Canadian society and Canadian perspectives about the group by the end of the time period.
