Biblical Worldview Paper
God is all-powerful and all-knowing, and throughout nature, you are able to see that He created the universe. Romans 1:20 states, "For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." Without actually seeing God, we are able to feel His presence and know His existence through what He created around us. God created the entire universe in six days, and every day since then, He has been actively involved with His creation. He made mankind in His image and allowed us to rule over the land and animals, which is stated in Genesis 1:26. We have the awesome opportunity to live our life to the fullest with the hope of Jesus being created in His image. Because of him, we also have the incredible opportunity to interact with others for his namesake.
The first chapter of Genesis discusses God's creation. He started with creating the heavens, earth, light, and darkness and continues on to eventually create animals and mankind. After each day of creation, God saw that it was good; however, after he created man and woman, he saw that it was very good. God set us apart from the rest of the world, creating us in His image. He takes pleasure in His people which is stated in Psalm 149:4. God created us with a purpose, and that is to glorify Him. All throughout scripture, it identifies man being called to glorify God. Isaiah 43:7 says, "Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made." God graciously made us in His image for the purpose of living our life for Him. He has been with us since the beginning of time, and He continues to be with us through our everyday life.
Furthermore, not only did He create us in His image, He gave us the gift of salvation through His son, Jesus Christ. Sin is what separates us from God, and this makes it impossible for us to glorify God by ourselves. Yet God loves us so much and wants us to be right with Him, so He willingly sent His son to die on the cross for every sin that has ever been committed and will ever be committed. Romans 3:23-24 states, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." God loves us so much that He made a way for us to have a relationship with Him, as well as one day, get to spend eternity with Him. With this in mind, it allows me to live my life differently than the world because I have an all-powerful and gracious Savior who has been active in the lives of his creation since the beginning of time.
I am enrolled in courses at Liberty University with a desire to become an elementary school teacher, which means I will be interacting in the lives of children, as well as parents, every day. I have always loved kids and felt God's calling on my life to be a teacher. In the book of Ephesia...
