Demographics:
Sentinel City is constructed of four neighborhoods: Nightingale Square, Acer Tech Center, Casper Park District, and Industrial Heights. The population as a whole is 663,862. Nightingale Square has 103,974 that live there, and Acer Tech Center has 168,390. Casper Park District has 352,643 that live there, and Industrial Heights has 38,855. I broke down the Median income levels for each: Nightingale Square is $269,550, Acer Tech Center is $166,300, Casper Park District is $80,134, and Industrial Heights is listed as the lowest with a median income of $24,672. It is safe to say that non-insured residents are the highest in Industrial Heights at 37.5%, where the median income level is lowest in these four communities. Casper Park District comes in at 22.7%, Acer Tech Center has 1.5% of residents non-insured, and 0.7% of residents are uninsured in Nightingale Square, the most affluent neighborhood in the city. (Nursing Simulation Generator, 2016).

Neighborhood Safety Assessment:
Walking or riding the bus around Sentinel City, you will notice safety hazards. For example, in several buildings that need repair, such as barrels of radioactive material and construction material laying out, which is unsafe, along with the debris along the walkways, one would also notice rats and stray animals. One could see pollution and fires. In one area of the city, one can notice a liquid pouring out of a large pipe. One also notices three unmanned open fires.

During my visit, I noticed many forms of drug use, including tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana. One did not see any evidence of hypodermic needles anywhere inside the city. The crime rate of intoxication was 6%, and controlled substances were 16% of crimes (Nursing Simulation Generator, 2016). This crime report states that murder rarely occurs but also lists robbery, aggravated assaults, and rape are present. One can also notice graffiti in the city as one travels, suggesting gang presence. Sentinel City police department has reports of aggravated assaults, robbery, homicide, and robbery amount gang-related crimes. The response time of EMS is approximately seven minutes.

Scavenger Hunt:
During my visit to Sentinel City, I found several agencies from which the residents can benefit. One can visit the Parks and Recreation Department, which offers fitness courses in which they can play basketball; they also offer swimming lessons and classes such as nutrition and gardening. They even have kids' summer programs and after-school programs. City Hall is the location of Social Services, which provides one child and adult protective services, Head Start, WIC and SNAP services, and even healthcare assistance.

The Healthcare System includes elderly services that provides them with medical care advocates, they even offer transportation for seniors. This is a great resource for programs such as Meals on wheels and Service Animals, elder abuse prevention advocates, assistance w...
