Organizing is assembling the resources needed to complete the job and coordinating employees and tasks for maximum success (Bateman & Snell, 2009 p. 33). In order for Carl to meet his deadline, he must fix the following problems. He has a scheduling conflict with the training room he needs for orientation. He does not have enough training manual put together properly. He doesn't have all of the trainees' transcripts, nor does he have their mandatory drug testing done.Solutions:Once Carl realized that he had a problem with the new trainees, he should just taken a deep breath and thought about to solve the issues at hand instead of stressing out about it. A quote says it best from a known businessperson, I have yet to see a problem, however complicated, which when you looked at it in the right way, did not become more complicated (Anderson, 2010). Carl has time to solve the issues at hand. The first step Carl should make is to find a new space for the orientation. Maybe he could see if the conference room was available, maybe the lunch room after lunch hours are over, or he could just use his office if he has enough room. He needs to contact all of the trainees who have not completed their applications and ask that they come in immediately to do so. Upon those trainees coming in, he should then send them immediately for a drug screen and tell them that if they do not complete this by the end of the day, they will not hold a position with this company.
