The movie conviction really caught my eyes mostly because of how the movie was based off of a real story that happened in the past. Something that I took note on was that the fact that Kenny was put into prison because of some grudge or hatred that Nancy Taylor (cop) has towards him. To me it seemed more of a police harassment when Officer Taylor went to Kenny and told him he was being arrested without a specific reason, nor have the evidence to why he was going to be arrested. I’ve seen many videos online where police officers would stop you for no apparent reason and would start to ask questions, demanding answers when you have the right to stay silent. However, sometime when officers don’t get the answer that they want to hear, they start to threaten with the consequence of being put in jail for insubordination or resisting being detained. Continuing in the movie, when Kenny was facing the judge the only evidence that was against him was the blood sample on the murder weapon that killed Ms. Brown.
