9.1c SUNNYSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT: WITNESS STATEMENT FORM:

In this document, Rebecca Treadwell voluntarily made a witness statement for the murder of James Henry Solomon. She stated that the day before the murder he had been discussing with her a theory that involved Sam Freeman and Lee Parker. Rebecca claims, “He figured it out when he found out he had passed the CAHSEE math test last spring. He said there was no way he could have passed because he made no effort to get any of the questions right. He said he blew off the exam because he already knew he was going to drop out of school that summer, and that he made a picture with the answer bubbles and left lots of them blank.
He told me he thought that our math teacher Mr.Freeman was involved and possibly also Mr.Parker, the head of the math department.” Rebecca says Jamie told her he had called Freeman about how he could have passed the test, but Freeman did not answer his question due to the fact that he did not feel comfortable talking about it through the phone. She also revealed that James had emailed Parker asking if he knew anything else about it. Jamie then said he had received an email from Parker claiming that he did not know what he was talking about and he should think about how making such accusations that can ruin people’s lives.
The plan for the day of the murder was that Jamie would confront both Parker and Freeman about the math test and maybe “get something out of it”. Rebecca claims she did not know what he meant. She knew that Jamie was nervous since it can harm both teachers’ their careers. Rebecca said Jamie had planned to take “Blade”, his knife he carried for self-defense. She claims he was not a violent person and only carried the knife after getting jum...
