Since June of 2007, Apple released the iPhone which has become a significant part daily life around the world for those who own the iPhone and have released new models annually. Apple recently revealed the newest models of the iPhone known as the iPhone XS and the iPhone XR in various colors and sizes which include new features becoming the latest news on the media outlets. In the article “iPhone XS vs. iPhone Xs Max vs. iPhone XR: Which New Apple Smartphone Is Right for You?” by Alex Fitzpatrick, Fitzpatrick summarizes the latest iPhone models and not only provides reasons why consumers should buy the latest models, but also why consumers should avoid purchasing the latest iPhone model. Consumers want to know the details of the next best thing which is why these news media outlets have articles to inform the consumers, but also giving the consumers a perspective to decide if they should purchase the latest model or which models in which case Fitzpatrick states whether consumers want the latest-and-greatest, bigger phone screens, better displays, improved camera systems, or increased battery life. In the article “Got $1,1000? Apple shows off its most expensive iPhone yet” by Michael Liedtke, Liedtke states “By making more expensive iPhones, Apple has been able to boost its profits despite waning demand as people upgrade phones less frequently” which informs consumers that Apple is a capitalist company that is just trying to gain profit since now people are not upgrading their phones less frequently due to the fact that the features are minimal and the previous models are satisfactory.
